I have lived in Faringdon approximately 5 years and we finally bought a house here just over a year ago. Having seen the advert for volunteers to be involved in the fotoFARINGDON2000 project, I decided I wanted to take part. My photography experience is the same as most of us - mainly holidays snaps - but I liked the idea of the project. It seemed a great opportunity to offer future generations, literally, a snapshot of Faringdon in the millenium year.

After dropping my flyers and recruiting a willing volunteer I embarked on taking the photos. I came up against some opposition to the project but in general people thought it was a unique and exciting idea. A lot of people wanted to be included in the snap of their house and really got into the spirit of the project.
