Carolyn Williams

I live at number one Southampton Street, a listed early eighteenth century house. Before the 1920s it belonged to the Faringdon Estate, and in later years a man named Vincent was tenant and had traction engines which he kept behind The Bull public house.

We came to live here in 1985, and love it. I have three children, and I teach French at St Mary's, Wantage.

Photography has always been a hobby and I greatly enjoyed being a part of the fotoFARINGDON2000 team, as it gave me the opportunity of looking at houses, meeting people, and contributing to a worthwhile Millennium project.
