1977. Silver Jubilee celebrations in Faringdon marking the 25th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the throne. Pupils of the Infant School walked from the start of the parade in Fernham Road to Faringdon House grounds in the pouring rain. They were very proud of their prize winning entry of a crown placed on the top of a Mini car. The Headmistress, Mrs Edith Stevens, and Mrs Anita Thomas are two of the members of staff escorting the children.
